Men's Club Spring Brunch Series - Sunday, March 3rd, 10:00 am @ CBS Social Hall– This Just In: When Radio and Television Came of Age
This lively program examines how mass media provided people with entertainment and news before the digital age. Newspapers and printed matter are part of the story, but the program concentrates on the golden age of broadcasting when people turned to radios and televisions. It includes fascinating and entertaining soundbites to help take participants back to earlier times as the audience hears short segments of nostalgic radio drama, tunes from long ago, and urgent news flashes. FREE for Men's Club members. $10 for non-members. To RSVP or buy tickets.https:// www.signup82north.com/ beventLive.aspx?EventID=NBI 78930090
CBS Men's Club Latkapalooza - December 2, 2018. Real Men (and Women) make latkes. And lots of them. The Men's Club had our most efficient and successful Latkapalooza yet. We welcomed several new volunteers who helped out this year to make close to over 1400 latkes for the Hebrew School Hanukkah party, youth groups celebrations, for CBS congregants with discerning good taste, and for the Kutz home. A great time was had by all. Check out the pictures on Facebook.
